Data Protection Notice
DATA PROTECTION NOTICE – PHOTO ARCHIVE
On the website www.banatdia.com, operated by the Institute for Hungarian Culture in Vojvodina (VMKI), users (natural and legal persons) can share digital photographs. VMKI collects data related to third parties in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 87/2018) as follows:
- The data is collected and processed by the Institute for Hungarian Culture in Vojvodina (Serbia, Senta, Posta Street 18; represented by Director Gyöngyi Kormányos Katona; hereinafter: VMKI);
- The purpose of data collection is to share data displayed on the website (place and date of photo creation, author's name, donor/owner's name, technique), and to verify this data and copyright with the submitter. The data provider holds the copyright to the photo and if applicable, has the permission of any persons appearing in the photo for its publication;
- Upon registration on the website, the following data is collected: for natural persons – uploader's name, residence (town), phone number, email address; for legal persons – the name of the legal entity, headquarters (town), name of the representative, phone number, email address;
- Access to the collected data and record keeping serve the purpose of publishing the data listed in point 2 and continuously verifying the copyright holder of each photo;
- VMKI gains no financial benefit from data collection;
- VMKI is the sole user and processor of the collected data; access is limited exclusively to authorized employees, and the stored data is protected by electronic and/or mechanical safeguards. The data in point 2 is publicly available on the website;
- VMKI stores personal data as long as the data listed under point 2 is available on www.banatdia.com;
- The data provider has the right, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, to full and timely information about the processing and use of their data, to access their data, to request correction, to receive a copy, to request restriction of processing, to object to data processing, and to demand data transfer to another controller;
- The data provider may withdraw consent to data processing at any time, upon which VMKI must cease processing and delete the data. The data provider is obliged to reimburse VMKI for verifiable costs and damages in accordance with applicable laws. This does not affect the legality of data processing prior to withdrawal;
- The data provider has the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner regarding data collection and processing;
- By registering on the website, the data provider declares that they have read and accepted this Data Protection Notice, as well as their rights and obligations arising from it.
